LXM Building Services was appointed to carry out a full internal and external refurbishment of a characterful but dilapidated building in the heart of Notting Hill. The brief was to preserve the building’s period charm while upgrading it to modern standards for the benefit of its tenants.


Externally, the project involved comprehensive remedial works to restore the building’s appearance and durability. The original timber sash windows, though worn, were carefully refurbished by our specialist team to extend their lifespan and retain their heritage detail. A full redecoration of the façade followed, alongside a complete renewal of the roof covering, ensuring the building is now fully weatherproofed ahead of the colder winter months.


Internally, the transformation continued with the removal of outdated wallpaper and a full re-plastering of the property. These works created a clean, neutral canvas for a contemporary redecoration scheme that brightens each room and enhances the building’s original proportions.


Outdated bathrooms were stripped out and replaced with modern, stylish fittings, improving functionality and comfort. A new kitchen was installed to serve as both a practical and welcoming welfare space for the building’s tenants.
